The STIHL GTA 26 battery-powered garden pruner is designed for fast trimming of garden shrubs and pruning trees. This innovative cordless hand pruning saw has a 4-inch guide bar and 1/4 inch PICCO chain for fast clean cutting. With its lightweight and compact design and rubber grips, the GTA 26 provides ease of use and minimizes wrist torsion.

The rechargeable battery will last for 80 cuts of 1.5-inch diameter branches or around 25 minutes. Your actual run-time will vary depending on branch thickness and wood hardness. We recommend buying an extra chain, gloves, and clear safety glasses. A spare battery will come in handy if you have a large yard to prune (but the extra battery is still not available yet).

Just pop the battery into the handle, and push down on the thumb trigger switch, get the cutting chain up to speed then gently trim through branches. Don’t force the saw down on the branch because that could cause it to lock-up – use a gentle cutting action. The built-in guide bar is hinged to open when it cuts, but also serves to protect the operator. 

We recommend wearing clear protective eyewear to prevent wood chips and sawdust from getting into your eyes.
